Directions:

Taking the first exit off the motorway (N4) for Mullingar, you pass by the Park Hotel on approach to town. Head down the Main Street and out of town towards Ballymahon. Continue out this road for c.10 km through Rathconrath passing ‘Gunnings’ – a famous pub/wellington boot shop (stop for a pint if you can!). Continue, keeping right at fork in road until you come to a steep down hill. Turn right at the crossroads, signposted Mearescourt House. Continue to the next crossroads and then turn left. Again this is signposted, Mearescourt House. Continue to the next crossroads turn left, again signposted. The house is first entrance past next ‘T’ junction (16km all told).
